In an interview with SFX, Matt Tolmach spoke of the Sinister Six film :
“It’s a difficulty in each sense, definitely questions of conventional hero/villain improvisation have to be viewed. Simultaneously it’s an excellent task, for the reason that most of the excellent characters come in fact villains, however how you make that is a lot of fun. People really like those negative characters if they’re surely not negative characters, and like to see them. And nobody’s all fantastic, nobody’s all negative, and so where we complete that story, I would say, is a really wonderful challenge, and we all laugh when we look at what you can do. It’s absolutely a bad-ass number of people and I feel it’s going to be a lot of entertainment to see them.”
Meanwhile Avi Arad presented several ideas on Venom and exactly how they expect to position him from villain to anti-hero noting that it doesn’t issue if Eddie Brock or Flash Thompson are going to be inside the popular symbiote costume :
“The person who Venom doesn’t like is- Spider-Man. He wasn’t innately negative, he was a quick way guy, no need to fight hard for success. That’s the Venom story. Can he also be a superb guy ? As you realize, Venom was also called ‘lethal defender of the innocent’. We had a wonderful history with him, particularly caring for the homeless, which is a quite delicate problem and something that most of us are extremely concerned with. Our villains every one represent a totally different side of the misunderstood, but some of them unluckily explored the dark side. Venom happened to be a wonderful character. With Eddie Brock, or if you perform Flash Thompson, it doesn’t issue who is going to be inside the suit – what’s valuable is that a person like him is going to recognize there occurs a time whenever you get up in the morning and say ‘How did I receive here? There needs to be an easy method.’
With Drew Goddard ( The Cabin in the Woods ) fast paced writing The Sinister Six together with Alex Kurtzman, Jeff Pinker and Roberto Orci ( The Amazing Spider-Man 2 ) working on Venom. It is understandable that Sony is pushing ahead with a Spider-Man Movie Universe.
Meanwhile the franchise will go forward with the launch of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which moves into cinemas on 18th April in the UK and 2nd May in the States followed by The Amazing Spider-Man 3 in 2016 and The Amazing Spider-Man 4 in 2018.
