Nandamuri Balakrishna’s ‘Legend’ has hit the screens worldwide with an outstanding buzz. The movie targeted both masses and family section. All Balakrishna’s fan has great hopes on this Boyapati Sreenu film, so let us check out.
The movie starts showcasing Balakrishna (Krishna) in Dubai. He lives away from his family where his Grandmother stays in India. Krishna falls in love with Sneha (Sonal Chauhan). Krishna visits India to surprise his grandmother and to get her blessings for his marriage with Sneha. With his proclivity for saving people in distress, Krishna soon ends up in rivalry with Jeethendra (Jagapathi Babu) by killing Jeethendra’s Son. Interval episode and twist have good impact value.
The movie enters into flashback mode when Jeethendra meets Krishna. There is an old enmity between Krishna’s family and Jai Dev (elder Balakrishna). Need to watch out in theaters for rest of the movie. Overall Legend is an action drama with heaps of dominant dialogues and heroism elevation scenes.
The combo worked one more time, Balakrishna roars in the role of Jai Dev. He has a royal look and his gestures are great to watch. Boyapati Srinu is the only director to present Balakrishna in such a great way. He repeated the magic of Simha.
Jagapathi Babu is excellent as Jeethendra with white beard and fabulously designed costumes and this will be one of his career best performances. He has great future as a leading villain. Sonal Chauhan looks gorgeous and she attracts everyone with her glamour. Radhika Apte looks homely and she has a good role in the movie.
The second half of the film is a big plus point, with emotionally charged scenes and powerful dialogues and action scenes.
Minus Points –
Brahmanandam’s comedy track is boring and irritating. The comedy could have been better. DSP, he has not lived up to his mark. The songs could also have been better. As usual, Balakrishna’s movies are known for violence. Same case with Legend, too much of violence.
