A service will be held at the same church in Kent where the funeral of her mother Paula Yates was held 14 years ago.
St Mary Magdalene and St Lawrence Church, in Faversham, is also where Ms Geldof, who was 25 when she died, married musician Tom Cohen, the father of her children, in 2012.
Among the stars expect to turn out to pay tribute to television presenter and model Ms Geldof at Bono, Annie Lennox and Jools Holland.
The chosen church is also where Paula Yates married Sir Bob Geldof in 1986 before she died of an accidental heroin overdose in 2000 at the age of 41.
The family said it will be a private service as mystery still surrounds the death of Ms Geldof on April 7.
Her body was found at the home she shared with her husband and their two young sons, Astala, 23 months, and 11-month-old Phaedra, in Wrotham, Kent, after officers were called “following a report of concern for the welfare of a woman”.
